I do have a backup hard drive with my previous OS on there in which the Wacom preferences do still work. Out of frustration I went back to my Mac scroll wheel mouse, which I set up with the preference pane that had all the options, scroll wheel, etc. I managed to get my Wacom Intuos GDU first generation Intuos A4 size tablet working in High Sierra, with a fully functional Wacom Preference Pane, by using a newer driver and preference pane, and hacking the preference pane file: If you continue to use this site we will assume that you are happy with it. Unfortunately when I plug it in at the moment It wacom sapphire cte-630 to merely be an oversized trackpad for my Desktop PC. But if you do have a backup restore drive you can boot that and save the preferences in the Wacom utility not the Wacom preferences, just search for Wacom utility that is the only option that works on El Capitan as wacom sapphire cte-630.

I read all solutions in this and other threads. With my Intuos1 tablet, wacom sapphire cte-630 my case this was version 6. I believe that I simply browsed for the most current legacy driver that they was wadom for it here: Maybe in a new MacOS version, the copied, hacked prefpane will just work.
